At the Centria Talonpojankatu campus in Kokkola, there is a versatile operations and maintenance laboratory. There is equipment for various maintenance measurements and inspections. The laboratory can model and measure phenomena related to maintenance such as various vibrations, acoustic emissions or oil analyses. The operations and maintenance laboratory offers opportunities for students, companies and RDI actors to familiarise themselves with maintenance measurements.

For example, the interesting and versatile ultrasound measurements provide a good addition to maintenance measurements and production maintenance. UE Systems ultrasonic meter Ultraprobe 15000 is used in the operations and maintenance laboratory to measure, for example, bearing failures and to provide information well in advance of the final bearing failure. The meter gives a graphical representation and auditive information adapted to human hearing frequency.
