DOUBLE DEGREES

Centria University of Applied Sciences offers various Bilateral and Non-Bilateral Double Degree programmes in several countries.

Centria UAS has collaboration agreements with foreign institutions in Business Management, Information Technology and Chemical Engineering degree programmes. Students in these fields can apply for a double degree, depending on the partnership and the reciprocity of the agreement.

Bilateral Double Degrees

Bilateral double degree programmes allow Centria UAS to send and receive students to/from partners. In other words, these are two-sided double degree programmes. Currently we have bilateral double degrees in effect with the following institutions:

Non-Bilateral Double Degrees

Non-bilateral double degree programmes allow Centria UAS to receive students from partners. In other words, these are one-sided double degree programmes, without Centria sending students to partners. Currently we have non-bilateral double degrees in effect with the following institutions:

Application Process

Application to our bilateral double degrees is similar to the process for our incoming exchange students. For more information, please visit this webpage below.

Students who are enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year of studies in their home institution are eligible to apply for a double degree programme in Centria University of Applied Sciences, based on a previously signed, valid double degree agreement. The study period in Finland would take place either in the 3rd or 4th year of studies.

To apply for the double degree programme, students are required to have successfully passed their previous courses in their home institution by the time their studies in Finland begin. Regarding prior studies, students are expected to have at least score “C” on average, according to the ECTS grading scale. In addition to this, students should have sufficient English language skills to be able to follow courses in Centria. This has to be equivalent to our requirement for international full degree students, which is one of the following:

  • IELTS Academic: a minimum total score of 6.0 (Test sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
  • TOEFL Academic (iBT): a minimum total score of 60 (Test sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing)
  • PTE Academic: a minimum total score of 55 (Test sections: Speaking and Writing, Reading, and Listening)
  • Cambridge English Scale Score: a minimum total score of 169 (Test sections: Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening, and Speaking)

The application will take place online in Studyinfo.fi. After receiving the nomination from the sending insitution to eduexpo@centria.fi, students will be contacted, informed and guided by Centria regarding the details of the application process. We are also happy to answer student inquiries related to studies in Centria and life in Finland.

After the application period is over, Centria’s Admissions Services will check the eligibility of applicants and send interview requests to qualified students. Those who have successfully passed the interviews will receive a conditional offer from Centria UAS. Students will know whether they are accepted or rejected by the end of June at the latest.
