DOUBLE DEGREES

Centria University of Applied Sciences offers various Bilateral and Non-Bilateral Double Degree programmes in several countries.

Centria UAS has collaboration agreements with foreign institutions in Business Management, Information Technology and Chemical Engineering degree programmes. Students in these fields can apply for a double degree, depending on the partnership and the reciprocity of the agreement.

Bilateral Double Degrees

Bilateral double degree programmes allow Centria UAS to send and receive students to/from partners. In other words, these are two-sided double degree programmes. Currently we have bilateral double degrees in effect with the following institutions:

Non-Bilateral Double Degrees

Non-bilateral double degree programmes allow Centria UAS to receive students from partners. In other words, these are one-sided double degree programmes, without Centria sending students to partners. Currently we have non-bilateral double degrees in effect with the following institutions:

Application Process

Application to our bilateral double degrees is similar to the process for our incoming exchange students. For more information, please visit the webpage below.

In addition to following the incoming exchange application process, students will also need to apply in Studyinfo.fi as a double degree student between 20-30 April 2026. After receiving the nomination from the sending insitution, students will be contacted and informed by Centria regarding the details.

Depending on the agreement, students who are enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year of studies in their home institution, have the possibility to apply for a double degree programme in Centria UAS. The study period in Finland would take place either in the 3rd and/or 4th year of studies.

To be eligible to apply for the double degree, students are required to be pre-selected and nominated by their home institutions to eduexpo@centria.fi, based on the agreement. As a general requirement, students can be selected for the opportunity, if they have successfully passed their previous courses in their home institution by the time their studies in Finland would begin. Regarding prior studies, students are expected to have at least score “C” (3) on average, according to the ECTS grading scale. In addition to this, students should have sufficient English language skills to be able to commence studies in Centria. This has to be equivalent to CEFR level B2 or higher, identical to our requirement for international full degree students.

The application will take place online in Studyinfo.fi between 20-30 April 2026. After receiving the nomination from the sending insitution, students will be contacted and informed by Centria regarding the details.

Once the application period is over, Centria’s Admissions Team will check the eligibility of applicants and interview requests will be sent to qualified students. During the interview, students have the possibility to express their motivation to the teachers responsible for the degree in question, talk about their personal study plans, and to prove their English language skills.

Those who have successfully passed the interviews will receive a conditional offer from Centria UAS to be a double degree student. Applicants will know whether they are admitted or rejected by 12 June 2026 at the latest. The study place is conditional until applicants accept the offered study place in Studyinfo.fi, and pay the tuition fee for the double degree, according to the agreement between the institutions. The deadline for accepting the offered study place and paying the tuition fee is 9 July 2026, 3 pm Finnish time.
