Centria Concerts

Centria’s music students, their teachers as well as other music professionals perform in Centria Concerts.

Centria’s music education organises concerts which audiences are more than welcome to join. The concerts are usually held on Thursdays at 19:00 in the Fordell Hall of the Snellman Music Center (address: Vingenkatu 18, Kokkola).

The concerts include students of Centria music with their teachers and other students and professionals in the music industry.

Free admission to concerts – Except 18.1., 20.–21.2. and 7.–11.4.

The Pearls of Baroque Music

Centria singers perform Monteverdi’s Orfeo and Bach’s church music works. Soprano Kajsa Dahlbäck and harpsichordist Tea Polso serve as instructors for the Baroque period.

From Dixieland to the Present

From Dixieland to the Present Day takes the audience on a musical journey from the 1920s to today, featuring beloved classics sung in both English and Finnish. Free admission, welcome to enjoy live music!

Chamber Music: Face to Face

Chamber music period closing concert in collaboration with the Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory. Musical leading by pianist Juho Alakärppä and cellist Marjukka Puutio. Free admission.

OJO plays ABBA

The Ostrobothnian Jazz Orchestra (OJO) will be focusing firmly on the music of the legendary band ABBA in its February concerts. The concert’s soloists are talented young singers from the Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory and Centria, with Mikko Pellinen conducting as usual.
