Centria Concerts

Centria’s music students, their teachers as well as other music professionals perform in Centria Concerts.

Centria’s music education organises concerts which audiences are more than welcome to join. The concerts are usually held on Wednesdays in the Concert Hall of the Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory (address: Pitkänsillankatu 16, Kokkola) and on Thursdays in the Fordell Hall of the Snellman Music Center (address: Vingenkatu 18, Kokkola). Other venues are also possible. The concerts include students of Centria music with their teachers and other students and professionals in the music industry.

Rose Garden of Love

The opera performance combines the humor and human intricacies of Mozart’s masterpieces ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ and ‘Così fan tutte,’ creating a tragicomic tale of love, betrayal, and cunning twists. The piece invites the audience to laugh while also reflecting on how easily hearts can be led astray in the rose garden of love.

When We Were Young

Sonja Pääsukene´s Final Exam Concert on Friday, 28 March 2025, at 19:00. Dive into the world of pop and punk music! The concert features gems from the early 2000s to the present day.

Do Not Be Afraid

Anni Ojala’s Final Exam Consert features music by Finnish female singer-songwriters arranged for guitar-piano-violin trio and accompanying vocal ensemble. There will be great emotions and Anni Ojala’s own unreleased music.

Baritone Samuel Heikkinen and pianist Matti Pohjoisaho present us extracts from Franz Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin, a story of love set in the 19thcentury countryside. Welcome to join the miller’s apprentice on his journey!

Jenni Passoja’s Final Exam Concert on Friday, April 4th at 7 PM. Diverse selection of pop music: “Songs that I have collected from my life’s journey, that have rooted in me deeply.” You are warmly welcome, the concert is free of charge!
