What is orientation?
Congratulations to our new student! You are warmly welcome to start your studies at Centria in autumn 2026. Your studies will begin with orientation day(s).
The orientation for university of applied sciences students is important and compulsory for new students. During it, you will be introduced to your new study environment and to Centria’s practices. The orientation will help you get off to a smooth start to your studies and get to know your new classmates.
During the orientation, you will receive information and become familiar with the following:
- Centria’s information systems, including enrollment for study courses.
- Your degree program curriculum and the timing of studies in different years.
- Your degree program study practices
- Physical facilities (for day groups as part of orientation days and for blended learning groups later on).
- The study support offered by Centria.
- Centria as a community: your group’s teacher tutor, Head of your degree program, your group’s student tutor and other parties supporting your studies.
- The students in your group.
- Student life in Kokkola/Pietarsaari and the student union Copsa’s event calendar.
Check the date, duration and implementation method of your own group’s orientation from the list below. We look forward to seeing you at the orientation.
