As a student in RDI activities

We offer students a variety of opportunities to become involved in research, development, and innovation (RDI) activities already from the early stages of their studies. Working in RDI environments supports the development of professional skills, career growth, and networking.

Explore RDI Activities

Students can familiarize themselves with RDI activities early in their studies by participating in project-related events, through visits by RDI staff as part of courses, and by completing project-based assignments within courses.

Deepen Your Expertise

As studies progress, students can further develop their expertise by applying for paid traineeships as RDI student assistants. Recruitment for RDI student assistant positions is organized twice a year, in spring and autumn. Available assistant positions are published under open vacancies.

Thesis Work in RDI Activities

RDI activities also offer students opportunities to complete their thesis in an authentic working-life environment. We receive a high number of enquiries related to thesis topics. To help us guide you efficiently to a suitable team and potential topics, we kindly ask you to reflect on the following points before contacting us. This is an important part of the early stages of the thesis process, as it helps you clarify your own goals and enables us to identify a suitable RDI contact for you.

1. Your background

2. Your interests

3. Study status and schedule

Once you have considered these points in advance, we will be able to guide you more quickly to the right contact person and suitable thesis topics. You may contact the leader of the team or research group you are interested in directly — contact details can be found via the link above.
