Our values

Our values underpin everything we do. It also shapes the kind of employer we want to be, how we meet each other in the workplace and what we work towards.

1. Approachable and reliable

We look at issues from the individual’s perspective. We are easy to approach, and we listen and provide our support. We can put ourselves in the position of the individual or shareholder. For our students, personnel, and representatives of our stakeholders this leads to meaningful learning experiences and valuable new knowledge. Building the future starts with building trust.

2. Valuing diversity and competence

Our strengths consist of diverse know-how, tasks, and perspectives. We approach issues with curiosity, courage, and an open mind, discussing and valuing different points of view and respecting each other.

I love working in an international organisation. It’s interesting, exciting and educational. You never know what the week will bring. Working with international students gives you a glimpse into other cultures, languages, customs and worlds – which brings new things to your life.

Our Equality and Non-Discrimination Plan

The Equality and Non-Discrimination Plan 2025–2027 has been prepared to promote equality and non-discrimination within the Centria community in collaboration with personnel. The plan outlines the necessary measures, schedules and responsibilities for achieving the goals for 2025–2027.

3. Enabling change and encounters

Know-how, knowledge, and science are our shared capital. By sharing them and learning new together, we can help our students, personnel, and stakeholders respond to new challenges. We meet the needs and challenges of our operating region. Centria UAS is a facilitator of meaningful encounters and collaboration.

4. Determined and boldly experimenting

The impact of our activities is the result of our holistic understanding and goal-oriented collaboration. Good results are the sum of the intertwined efforts of various individuals. Even the most difficult challenges can be overcome through bold experimentation and creative cooperation.

Working in innovation and development is a mix of collaboration, dedication and creativity. It involves bringing different perspectives to the table, learning new things and long-term specialist work. Development work requires an interest in learning and an open-minded approach. A preparedness or even a willingness to fail helps in development work; the best new solutions are rarely created in a single attempt.
