Studies for upper secondary level students

Open UAS studies at Centria can be taken already during general upper secondary or vocational studies to learn about UAS studies and experience what it is like to study at a university of applied sciences.

Head start to UAS studies

Centria offers an opportunity to the students in the upper secondary level education to get acquainted with studies in a university of applied sciences. These studies speed up the completion of your own studies. You also get flexible opportunities to continue your studies in a UAS:

• The studies will be recognised as a part of the Bachelor’s degree if you continue your studies at Centria UAS
• You get a certificate for the studies, which can be used to apply for RPL Activity (= Recognition of Prior Learning) if you continue your studies at a UAS other than Centria
• When you agree on your studies with your teacher/counsellor at your educational institution, these studies will also be included in your upper secondary level degree
• For the time being, the studies are free of charge for all those studying for a degree in an upper secondary education institution in Finland

Centria offers open UAS studies, and they can be completed either as online studies or as contact studies with actual student groups on the Centria campuses in Kokkola, Pietarsaari or Ylivieska.

There are many ways to complete these studies. You can complement your upper secondary studies by completing individual courses either as online studies or with Centria degree groups.
