UAS Pathway

The UAS Pathway Studies to Finland programme, provided by the Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Finland, offers applicants a convenient way to gain access to apply to degree programmes in Finland. In the UAS Pathway program you study the first year online from your home country.

The UAS Pathway Studies are ideal for those interested in pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), International Business (IB) or Business Information Technology (BIT) AND in Game Development (B.ENG or BBA).

Each UAS Pathway Programme consists of 60 ECTS study credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), which are taught online in English by experienced Finnish UAS teachers. Upon completing the pathway program, students who have gained at least 30ECTS with an average grade of ≥3,0 (grading scale 1-5) by December 2024 are eligible for applying to continue studies in Finland as a Bachelor’s degree student starting in September 2025.

The pathway studies are fully accredited as part of your degree. In practice this means that you’ll be able to continue your studies in Finland as a second year student if you decide to apply.

Admissions and eligibility

When applying for UAS Pathway programs, you must hold such school-leaving certificates that would make you eligible to apply for higher education in your home country.

If English is not your first language, you have the following options:
1. Prove your proficiency in English skills by an internationally recognized language test or
   previous studies.
2. If you are not able to provide the language test certificate, you have the opportunity to
participate in an online interview. We kindly ask and recommend taking the free IELTS self-
    test before the interview:

Application process

You must complete an online application form and attach the required documents.

In step two, you’ll receive an acceptance letter with instructions on how to confirm your study place by paying the study fee. Before starting the studies, we need to verify your identity.

After successfully completing the first two steps, you are ready to join the UAS Pathway program. Teaching and lessons will start at the beginning of September 2024.
