Centria’s SAP Next Gen Lab offers companies skilled and motivated students with deep focus on ERP development. Centria has been educating SAP ERP for over 20 years with passion, including starting the first SAP Next-Gen Lab in the Nordic countries.
Next-Gen Chapter
Centria’s Next–Gen Lab was awarded “Next-Gen Chapter” -status in 2018 as a reward for excellent collaboration between the corporate world and education. The only Next-Gen Chapter in Northern Europe is responsible for supporting and leading other Next-Gen Labs and educational institutes with SAP in their curricula. The focus areas of the chapter are analytics, project management, and corporate collaboration.
All Centria’s Next-Gen Lab students are SAP-certified future professionals working constantly with the development and implementation of the latest technologies in the corporate environment. We focus on analytics and project management, but the Lab is open to all cooperation with SAP-using organisations and educational institutes. BBA
In the autumn of 2018, our BBA programme was launched with a focus on ERP systems. In our degree programme, we use SAP systems as a basis for training. According to the curriculum, during the first year, students will go through the basics of business administration, introductions to ERP systems, and SAP’s TS410 certification, which allows students to get access to our Next-Gen Lab environment. During the second year, students can specialise in analytics or project management, for example. A compulsory part of the training is also practical work on Next-Gen Lab projects.
Corporate collaboration
Some of the most relevant parts of our BBA programme are practical work in the Next-Gen Lab environment, practical training, and thesis work. Due to the scale and renewal of the field, the need for exploratory work and project work is currently in really high demand in the labour market.
Due to the popularity of our degree programme, it is important to take into account the extent of the necessary corporate support in our activities to train the best know-how in the field. We cooperate with companies by providing expertise in the field, visibility, recruitment opportunities, and research work. Companies provide us with practical training positions, thesis topics, mentoring, and collaborative projects that help students develop their skills in the demanding and ever-changing field of SAP.

Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Management, ERP
The studies are conducted in English, and the teaching is organised on weekdays on our Talonpojankatu campus in Kokkola. Some of the courses are offered as online studies and the studies require some independent work. You will also work in groups on different projects and assignments and develop your communication and teamwork skills.
