How to apply for exchange

Before the exchange, think about where you want to go, when you want to go, and what you intend to study during your exchange.

Instructions on applying for an exchange

  1. Learn about the different study opportunities for your study field.
  2. Log in to the Solemove system with your own Centria credentials. During the application period, a link will appear here.
  3. Select “Create new application”
  4. Select “normal student exchange”, mobility type “semester” and application period; select the ongoing application period
  5. Fill in your information, choose your degree program and choose three exchange destinations, one of which must be a European destination. Put your favorite exchange destination first
  6. Write a motivational letter in English, in which you introduce yourself and describe why you want to go on an exchange to the three destinations you applied for and what your hopes are for it
  7. You will hear about the progress of the selection by email a few weeks after sending the application
  8. If there are many applicants for the same exchange destination (usually USA, Japan and Canada), we will hold interviews. 

Only students who have filled out the online application form with the have a valid application. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Health Africa

Students of Health Care and Social Services can apply for practical training in Uganda and Kenya through this network. Practical training periods are for 3 months. (September – December, February – May)

Practical training application for nursing

  1. Fill out the online application form (form can only be filled when application is open)
  2. Prepare a Motivation Letter, where you will tell us about yourself, as well as write about your motives for the practical training, where you wish to do it, etc. 
  3. Create a PDF file of your Transcript of Records (ToR) found in Peppi and
  4. Send these documents to international@centria.fi
