Centria is in a top position once again in the graduating students’ feedback questionnaire

Students who graduated from Centria University of Applied Sciences in 2022 evaluated their education as second best in Finland.

Finnish graduates of 2022 assessed the various aspects of their education and rated it on a scale of 1-7 in the national AVOP questionnaire. Of the 578 students who graduated from Centria in 2022, all responded to the survey.

Centria’s good position is based in particular on the success of master’s education – in the feedback given by graduates, Centria Master School received the best rating with an average of 6, with a clear difference to the second best. In the assessments of bachelor education Centria was second best with an average of 5,5.

As the best in Finland, graduates of Centria assessed teaching and studying, feedback and evaluation, and matters related to carrying out their thesis project. Internationality, multiculturalism and language studies, counselling on working life and general study satisfaction were also ranked in the top three.

In the evaluations of different fields of education, engineering graduates of Centria were the most satisfied in Finland. In the evaluations of business graduates, Centria clearly improved its performance from previous years as we became the second best in the country. In master’s education, the best rating was given by the graduates of Centria’s master’s degree programme of social work and health care.

− Student feedback is very important to us and helps us develop our operations. Good feedback from students is the greatest recognition a university can get. I am very proud of this result, says Jennie Elfving, Director of Education at Centria.

In the annual questionnaire, the student evaluates and gives feedback on the education they completed. The questionnaire results have been published in the Vipunen database maintained by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finnish National Board of Education. The results of the questionnaire are used in the development and planning of education and activities both locally and nationally.
