Centria Becomes a Member of the European UNIgreen University Alliance

Centria University of Applied Sciences has been invited to join the European UNIgreen University Alliance, which focuses on green biotechnology and sustainable development. Centria’s membership was approved at the alliance’s General Assembly held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 29 October 2025. The UNIgreen member institutions across Europe provide an excellent network for developing Centria’s education, RDI (research, development, and innovation) activities, and internationalisation.


Over one thousand new students start at Centria

The new academic year at Centria University of Applied Sciences kicks off during the week beginning 25 August with fully packed groups and orientation days. This autumn, more than 1,200 new students will begin their studies at Centria—about 260 more than last year.


The mentors are ready to welcome new students

Centria is launching a new peer mentoring program to help international students settle into their new environment and daily life. Six student mentors are ready to share their experiences, offer support, and build a welcoming community where every student can feel at home.


Centria graduates from January to June 2025

Between January 1st and June 27th 2025, 486 students graduated from Centria University of Applied Sciences. 400 students graduated with a Bachelor's degree, and 86 students graduated with a Master's degree from Centria. 50 of graduates did not want their names to be published. We warmly congratulate all graduates!

Centria alumni are part of the network of professionals who have graduated from Centria. Alumni are an important stakeholder for us. We want to make our alumni activities more engaging and meaningful – and for that, we need your help.


Developing student involvement at Centria University of Applied Sciences

Centria has launched a new Student Ambassador initiative. The ambassadors will support the EduExpo and recruitment team by sharing their personal experiences of life and studies at Centria and in Finland, giving prospective students a genuine insight into what to expect.
