The future job market demands increasingly diverse and new skills. The AIMlearning project is implemented in collaboration with Centria University of Applied Sciences and Kpedu. Through this collaboration, we aim to streamline the guidance of the target group in transitional phases of their studies. Our main goal is to encounter, support, and enhance the skills of various professionals. We support the transition of young people into studies, the progression of their studies, and job seeking. Our aim is to support young people in practical training and securing employment matching their skills. We also strive to enhance companies’ expertise in current themes and increase understanding of diverse learners.

More information and skills are acquired through practical project tasks.

In the AIMlearning project, young individuals get to practice skills that support their previous educational background and deepen their expertise in skill sets related to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, well-being, and sustainability, with strong emphasis on practical exercises and projects. These skills will be crucial in the future job market. Our experts support the young individuals throughout their participation period. All young people under the age of 29 living in Central Ostrobothnia, regardless of their previous skills or educational background, can participate in the project.

Centria produces material on skill advancing themes that is also suitable for secondary-level students and those graduating from it. We are also responsible for supporting unemployed job seekers and developing a remote work trial -model. The actions at Kpedu are a precursor to what is done at Centria. Kpedu aims to first guide students at risk of dropping out through their preparatory education to vocational studies and on-the-job learning so that they graduate and can later transition to employment or further studies.

The remote work trial -model expands opportunities for young people facing challenges in the job market.

Discussions with the local employment authority highlighted the need to develop a remote work trial model that would enable the participation of young people facing challenges in the job market and living in sparsely populated areas. These young individuals do not have the opportunity to participate in traditional work trials, for example, due to the location of their residence or long distances. Through the remote work trial model developed in the project, the offering of employment services can be improved by providing companies with tools for remote supervision of work trainees.

The project is implemented from February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2027.
The project is co-financed by the European Union / Central Finland Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment / Kuntarahoitus.
