The LENTOON project helps enterprises in Central Ostrobothnia to develop market- and user-oriented wellness and health technologies.

We utilize the most efficient product development processes in the industry and support enterprises in managing the latest marketing evaluation criteria. The project will bring together commercial, technical and healthcare expertise and methodologies in a new way and create a new approach to help companies’ innovations succeed commercially. We also aim to diversify and grow the region’s economic activity.

LENTOON is a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund. It is co-funded by the cities of Kokkola and Kannus and Centria.

Our main focus is to support successful, systematic and process-oriented product development from idea to commercial product in the region’s wellness and health technology companies.

We support companies:

  • by creating a customized product development model to support the successful development of wellness and health technology products
  • helping wellness and health technology companies to adopt the latest and most important evaluation criteria for the market
  • helping wellness and health technology companies to develop products in a user and market-oriented way

  • universities are better able to support market-driven RDI in health and wellness technologies and growth-oriented business activities
  • health and wellness technology companies are more responsive to the specific needs of health and social care technology development and business
  • the capacity of companies to develop and commercialize new innovative health and wellness technology solutions will be enhanced, thus supporting the emergence of new successful businesses.
