Apply for the Support Program – Integration scholarship between 1 and 22 September 2026

The scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of five Centria degree students who, through their own initiatives during the 2025–2026 academic year, have promoted a more inclusive student community.

The scholarship may be awarded to a maximum of five students who have been actively involved in, for example:

1. promoted internationalisation within the higher education community
   • participated in student union activities or decision-making
   • promoted international exchanges and cooperation
2. supported the integration, inclusion and wellbeing of international students, as well as their academic progress
   • acting as a tutor or mentor
   • acting as a instructor at Skills Centria
   • helping international students familiarise themselves with the campus community, local culture and services
   • supporting students’ engagement with their studies and the university community
   • organising events that strengthen a sense of community
3. built a sense of community and fostered interaction between international and Finnish students
   • organised language café sessions
   • organised other events where students can meet one another
4. promoted intercultural cooperation and understanding
   • increased understanding of different cultural backgrounds
   • promoted multicultural teamwork
5. strengthened international students’ integration into working life or the local community
   • increased understanding of Finnish working life
   • strengthened networking and employability
   • taken the initiative to collaborate with local businesses

Both Finnish and international degree students at Centria are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship may be awarded to a student only once during their degree programme. Scholarship recipients are selected by the selection committee.

• Application period is 1.–22.9.2026.
