Demo Workshop:New Applications of Robotics in Boat and Composite Manufacturing
Come see how robotics and 3D printing can be combined!
1.10.2026 at 13:00 – 16:00
Centria kampus, PlastLab, Talonpojan katu 2, Kokkola.
Welcome to an event for companies in the boating and composites industries, featuring presentations and demonstrations of 3D printing, milling, and surface treatment of large-scale molds, as well as the cutting of reinforced plastic parts using robotics.
The event will explore how robotics and 3D printing can be combined, how robots are suited for cutting reinforced plastic parts, and what new opportunities these solutions open up for improving companies’ productivity.
In the demo workshop, we’ll demonstrate how the same robot can be used for multiple different work stages by switching out its tools. A single multifunctional robot cell can be used to 3D-print large-scale parts, such as molds, as well as mill and sand them to the desired finish.
On display will be a multifunctional robotic cell for 3D printing, milling, and surface finishing of large-scale parts, as well as a robotic cutting cell for cutting reinforced plastic parts.
During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to explore materials and sample parts, watch demonstrations, ask questions, and talk with experts.
The event will be held in English and Finnish.
A detailed program will be published later. However, you can register now to receive a calendar invitation to the event!
