Centria University of Applied Sciences uses discretionary admission, which means that the applicant could be considered eligible even if he/she did not meet the general admission criteria. Discretion may come into question in the following situation:
If the applicant is a refugee or in a refugee-like situation and formerly obtained qualifications cannot be proven through documentary evidence, Centria can excuse the applicant and he or she can proceed in the application process. In this case, an applicant must prove the refugee status by a decision made by a competent authority and send a copy of the decision (a decision on asylum or a residence permit granted by a need for protection) to the Admissions office by a set date.
Those graduating in the summer 2026 are also conditionally eligible and are required to submit the latest certificate of graduation and latest transcript with grades during the application period. The certificate should state that the student will graduate during the summer semester and include the graduation date. The applicant should deliver the final certificate by 22nd of September 15:00 Finnish time (if the certificate is given in another language than in English, you should also have it translated).

You must submit your application in Studyinfo by 15 June 2026. SAT-scores must be delivered between 14 August 2026 – 15 September 2026. Only applications and SAT scores which have been delivered within these deadlines are valid.
Please note that this application round works on a basis of a rolling admission; eligible students will be accepted already during the application round, on the first-come first-serve basis until all available places are filled.
Applicants start the application process by filling an online application form during the application period at Studyinfo.fi. The application is publicly accessible to everyone via the internet, and the admission process follows predefined admissions criteria. Therefore, no stakeholders outside the institution can have influence over the selection process itself. When filling the application form, applicants are advised to double-check if the given postal address is up to date and the given email address is functional.
A functional email address is particularly important in order to be able to be contacted later on with decisions and further guidelines. The email address provided in the application form will be taken as the official channel of communication and will not be changed later in the process. Once the application has successfully been registered, including a copy of the education certificate, applicants receive an application number. If an application number is received, applicants do not have to contact Centria´s Admissions office to confirm that the application has arrived.
The deadline for filling in the application and submitting it is 15 September 2026, 3 pm Finnish time. After submitting the application, applicants can still make changes to the application until the end of the application period. After that, it is still possible to attach documents to the application, but no other changes are possible.
Applicants who satisfy all the admission criteria will be accepted in the order that they have submitted their complete application and passed the interview. If the applicant passes the interview, they will be offered a study place within a few days of the interview.
- After being admitted, in order to be able to start their studies, applicants have to accept the study place by logging into Studyinfo.fi and accepting the offered study place. The deadline for accepting the offered study place and paying the tuition fee is 28 September 2026, 3 pm Finnish time.
- Centria UAS offers an early bird discount, allowing admitted students to receive a 10% reduction on the first-year tuition fee if they accept their study place and pay the tuition within two weeks of receiving the admission decision; however, due to the timeline of this additional application round, the available time may vary, as applicants admitted early can use the full two-week period, while those admitted later (up to 25 September) can still receive the discount by accepting their place and paying the fee by 28 September, so applying as early as possible is strongly recommended to maximize your opportunity to benefit from the discount.
- For applicants who are accepted in this application round, the studies are set to begin on 1 October 2026.
If you have questions regarding the application process, please contact admissions@centria.fi.
