The main objective of the funded by European Regional Development project is to launch research on autonomous machine control and build the necessary platforms for development work and piloting, enabling the piloting of developed solutions for regional businesses.
Within the investment project, Centria University of Applied Sciences will acquire an excavator, and the Federation of Education in Central Ostrobothnia will procure a dumper. Both institutions will also obtain sensors, central processing units, and data transmission devices required for autonomous machine control.
The development project focuses on advancing autonomous control systems and smart sensor technology for the excavator and dumper.
