Centria International Week – collaboration and new Insights in Kokkola

Centria International Week was held at the Talonpojankatu campus in February. Visitors arrived at the event from across Europe.

Centria University of Applied Sciences’ International Week brought nearly 40 representatives from partner institutions to our main campus in Kokkola in February to explore new opportunities for cooperation. Guests arrived from across Europe, including Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and Slovakia.

During the week, visitors were introduced to Centria’s practices, including the work of our Work-life and Career Services. We shared insights into the development process of our curricula, and our alumni provided perspectives on the career paths of Centria graduates and the skills their studies have equipped them with.

The programme also featured lectures, teaching sessions and meetings with Centria staff. Discussions ranged from developing teaching methods to exploring new forms of collaboration, resulting in several concrete ideas for future joint projects.

The week also offered our guests a glimpse into Finnish culture, as they had the chance to experience winter in Kokkola and enjoy local activities and traditions.

The International Week was a successful and warm‑hearted event that strengthened Centria’s international partnerships and created a solid foundation for deepening collaboration, for example through joint projects.
