Become a student ambassador
We are looking for Centria students to share their experiences regarding studying at Centria and Finland.
Join Centria’s international Student Ambassador team!
Student ambassadors play a key role in Centria’s applicant marketing. The role is flexible and adapts to your skills and interests. Do you enjoy organizing events? Are you excitedabout talking about your field of study to high school students, or are you keen on creating social media content? Your role can include a mix of different tasks, and we’ll work with each ambassador individually to define the details. We’ll provide you with a training to get started, you will receive compensation for your work, and most importantly—you’ll become part of an amazing team!
As a student ambassador, you may visit high schools to share insights about Centria and student life, represent Centria at fairs and online events, welcome groups of visitors to our campuses (such as leading campus tours), and help organize Centria’s own events, such as CentriaOpen—an annual event that attracts around 1,000 local high school students and plays a key role in student recruitment. Ambassadors also have the opportunity to create content for Centria’s social media channels.
What matters most in this role is a positive attitude and a passion for sharing your experiences about studying at Centria. You don’t need to be a seasoned public speaker—enthusiasm and a willingness to encourage future students to pursue higher education are what count!

- All Centria students are welcome—your field of study doesn’t matter!
- You are full of energy, creativity, and ideas. Maybe you are a social media whiz who knows how to create engaging content for different platforms?
- Public speaking skills are a plus, but not a must. We will train you, and you will naturally grow more confident as you gain experience.
- Words that describe you: positive, articulate, flexible, and proactive. You are not afraid to jump into new situations and take on challenges.
- You are reliable and follow through on your commitments. You will also have the support of fellow ambassadors and Centria’s EduExpo team—so you will never be on your own!
- And most importantly—do you know how to have fun? The student ambassador role is all about spreading positive energy! We hope you will enjoy sharing your positive experience at Centria, and feel comfortable sharing information about studies, life and accommodation in Finland.
- Notice that some tasks will require Finnish language skills
- We will provide you with a training for the student ambassador role, and you will be compensated for your work.
- You get to choose which tasks you take on, making it a flexible and enjoyable job alongside your studies.

- This role helps you develop valuable workplace skills, gain presentation experience, and expand your professional network.
- You will be invited to represent Centria and its study programmes at school visits, fairs, and other events—both online and in person.

Do you love sharing insights about your field with high school students, or is social media content creation more your thing? Your tasks can include a mix of different responsibilities, and we’ll work with each ambassador individually to define the details.
Compensation
Notice that these compensations may be modified and they will be confirmed during the training in April 2025.
- Fairs, online and in-person events:
In-person school visits: €50 per visit if done alone, or €25 per visit if accompanied by another ambassador or a Centria staff member. Travel expenses: Reimbursement for bus or train tickets, mileage compensation for personal car use, and travel time compensation (€9.19/hour). Accommodation costs may also be covered if needed.
Fairs & events: €9.19 per hour, plus possible travel and accommodation reimbursement.
Webinars: 15€ / webinar.
- Content Crew – Social Media Content Creations
The compensation will vary according to the content produced:
- 10 € / IG picture post
- 35 € / video post
- Compensation as agreed for bigger campaigns.
