Centria University of Applied Sciences is looking for a self-directed student trainee pair who are able to work independently to support the teaching management in higher education services. The practical training is paid and lasts for three months, starting in September. The application deadline is 25 April. Centria Trainee programme will provide you with valuable work experience, a work certificate and will improve your language skills and career development. Working city is Kokkola.

Job description: As a trainee, you will develop and implement various knowledge management tools and reports for the use of educational management. You will also carry out a variety of tasks to contribute to the implementation of teaching and teaching projects.

An advantage would be:

• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Good information retrieval skills and ability to produce text
• Proficiency in digital tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Web development skills would be an advantage

Task description:

• Teachers’ support: acting as a student assistant, organising workshops and supporting learning.
• Assignment workshops: assisting students with assignments and organising assignment workshops.
• Helpdesk on-call: Providing help and support to students during on-call hours to help them with their studies.
• Acting as a support person for teachers: assisting and preparing lessons as needed, collecting materials + other tasks.
• Social media: producing content about what studying at Centria is like and answering frequently asked questions in video format.

An advantage would be:

• Good information retrieval skills and the ability to produce text.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to help others.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• An interest in social media and content production.

• organizing events and leading campus tours
• participating in webinars, in-person fairs or high-school visits representing Centria
• creating content for Centria’s social media channels

A positive attitude, reliability, enthusiasm to share information about your own experiences and the “sisu” to encourage others to apply for higher education studies at Centria and in Finland. You do not need any previous experience, as we will provide you training for the role.
