Boliden Kokkola is a world-class zinc plant that produces high-quality zinc products for renewable energy production, the green transition, and modern society’s needs.

The zinc plant’s warehouse serves all the plant’s operations. We are an important support organization for zinc production, responsible for storing maintenance spare parts and production materials (e.g., chemicals) and managing the supply chain together with procurement. We manage three warehouses: the central warehouse, the chemical warehouse, and the steel warehouse.

Internship content

We are looking for a motivated student with a good attitude for warehouse tasks. During the internship, you will work next to a logistic, participating in their daily tasks. These tasks include receiving, picking, shipping, inventory, and warehouse organization.

During the internship, you will become familiar with our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, and the mobile warehouse management system (WMS).

This is a tandem internship, where a Finnish and an international student work together.

The internship is unpaid.

Schedule: The internship will take place 31.3.-17.4.25. The daily working hours are 5 days a week, from 7:00 to 15:30.

Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative students to participate in the development of marketing for the Municipality of Merijärvi. During the internship, you will be involved in preparing a marketing plan and developing marketing videos that showcase our municipality. The workplace is the Municipality of Merijärvi.

Your tasks include

• Preparation of a Marketing Plan:
  • Students will conduct an initial survey with various municipal bodies and staff to define the marketing needs and desires of the Municipality of Merijärvi.
  • Preparing a marketing plan for the municipality based on the initial survey.
  • Ideating and drafting marketing actions to enhance the visibility of the municipality.
• Production of Marketing Videos:
  • Planning and filming short marketing videos that showcase the landscapes, activities, and events of Merijärvi. The marketing videos can be planned and high-quality social media content or more polished marketing videos for the municipality, depending on the student’s own skills and interests.
  • Ensuring that the videos are attractive and support the marketing strategy.

You are a suitable applicant if

• You have good collaboration skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
