Pietarsaari will gain a significant addition to its higher education options when the Industrial Management Engineering program begins at Centria University of Applied Sciences in the fall of 2025. The new program addresses the growing demand for skilled professionals in the region’s industries.
The Industrial Management program integrates technology and business knowledge, providing a comprehensive foundation for thriving in a wide range of specialist and leadership roles in the modern workforce. Designed in close collaboration with local businesses, particularly in the Pietarsaari region, the program focuses on project management and competencies required in the process and food industries.

The four-year degree includes studies in sustainable development, strategic management, international project management, and the development of personnel and processes. Students will also gain expertise in areas critical to the Pietarsaari region, such as supply chain management and quality management.
The program will be held primarily online, with some on-site teaching at Campus Allegro. The goal of the program is to strengthen industrial management and technology expertise in the Pietarsaari area.
The application period for the program is during the first joint application round for higher education, from January 8, 2025, to January 22, 2025.
