AA3D final webinar successfully held

The Interreg Nord project Arctic Airborne 3D’s  final webinar was held on June 1^st with project partners present to tell the wide audience about the results and outcome of the projects. A guest speaker from FMI, Kaisa Lakkala, gave a speech about the climate change and it’s effects on the region. The following presentations were held during the 2-hour virtual event:

• Event opening – Marjut Koskela, Centria, project manager
• Drones in arctic ITS & cryospheric research – Kari Mäenpää, FMI
• Introduction to climate change – Kaisa Lakkala, FMI
• Marking of reindeer calves: an innovative idea – Åsa Ericson, LTU
• Snow banks: sustainable fencing for reindeers – Johan Wenngren, LTU
• Drone demonstrations for reindeer herding – Marjut Koskela, Centria
• 3D maps for virtual hiking – Ossi Saukko, Centria
• Drones for small item logistics – Pasi Hakasaari, Centria
