Do you want to be inspired and develop new solutions for the built environment?
The workshop series for municipalities run by the Re-Archtive North -project will continue on Tuesday 8 April at 10.00 – 12.30 Finnish time / 9.00 – 11.30 Swedish time.
The theme for the session is Creating Pre-Requisites. We will especially ponder the municipalities’ role in facilitating and supporting innovative initiatives in regard to old buildings.
The programme consists of a keynote presentation from Mika Kylänen, who is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Degree Programme at the Tampere University of Applied Sciences. In his presentation ‘Five Tips to Sustainable Re-use of Buildings,’ he will inspire us with various tips and examples. Additionally, we’ll host a discussion with Juhamatti Konttaniemi from the municipality of Ylitornio (Ylitornion kunta). Before wrapping up the day, we will dedicate a moment to collaborative work in order to stimulate creative thinking when considering built cultural heritage as an advantage for municipalities.
Re-Archtive North is an Interreg Aurora funded project. The other funding partners are Lapin liitto / The Regional Council of Lapland and Region Norrbotten. The project partners are Luleå tekniska universitet, Centria University of Applied Sciences, Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Moskosel Creative Park.
