Webinar: Best Practices in Traditional Music Education within Northern Parts of the Nordics

Cultural heritage offers a rich source of inspiration for music education, and music teachers have an important role in keeping local traditions alive. In this webinar, we’ll explore practical examples, share experiences, and discuss both the opportunities and challenges of bringing traditional music and cultural heritage into teaching.

We’ll hear about the ICH EDU North project, learn from Annukka Hirvasvuopio’s experiences in Sámi music education, and have time for discussion and exchanging ideas with colleagues from across the Nordic region.

No registration is needed. The webinar is primarily aimed at music teachers working in arts and culture schools and in extracurricular music education, but it is open to anyone interested in the topic.
